Mommy's defense:

Kayci got a treat today, a DVD from Blockbuster. Of course, when we got home from running errands she was MUCH more interested in getting to the TV than she was to finishing her chores, etc. So, I told her I wanted her to write a journal entry before she watched TV...but I knew that it was going to come out all crazy. Let me explain: her handwriting this summer has declined as her reading has increased. On that last blog entry, even sight words were misspelled and it's kind of driving me nuts because she knows better. So...I told her that I wanted to her to write smaller and keep her words together and then put her to work. We were joking around about this being her entry, and this is what she chose to go with...but she told me it was okay if I wanted to say something, too. And for the second time today, I'll say, thanks...I think.

Yesterday I got a fish! It's name is Spot. My favorite thing about having a fish is the bowl. I like it because you can't find those a lot! So I'm glad I have one. And the heart necklaces.

(From Mommy: We bought plastic heart necklaces to put in the bottom of the bowl...more interesting than rocks. And Spot loves to swim in and out of the loops they create!)

3 day's ago i got back from san anton.it was very fun.my favorit part was the

...my favorite part was the Alamo and learning about history. That's all. Don't write that's all. Stop it! Erase all that! I don't like it!

What else did we do, besides see the Alamo?

We went on the RiverWalk; it was very fun.

What did we do at the RiverWalk?

We had dinner (lunch, actually) at Casa Rio and okay it was really cool because we got to see the um boats pass by. Noble was entertained because he was breaking chips and throwing it at the birds.

What did we do after that?

Did we go see the Missions?

No, we rode on something.

Ooh, I know, a trolley.

Try something on the river...

Um, a boat! The boat ride was really cool because he told us all this stuff. And while we were on the RiverWalk, Noble threw down a whole box of raisins. (At this point, Mommy remembered that Daddy and Kayci read our family blog last night before bed, which explains some of this stuff. And she's done...)

Kayci has been so busy having fun, she hasn't had time to blog. :)

Here's today's entry:

Welcome to Kayci's Blog!!!

Kayci has been wanting a blog of her own, and today we agreed that if she will write a blog entry in her notebook, I will take a picture of it and post it on her blog. This way, she'll practice her writing and handwriting and also be able to share her thoughts with her friends and family.

We sat down together and she chose the name of her blog, the background, etc. I did help a bit with the font colors, but only because I snuck it in. :) Kayci is very adamant that this is HER blog.
